It's a couple of weeks since Imraan Ladaak announced he is to step down as Chairman of the Poppies. It seems that the current ground situation has been the straw that has broken the camel's back.
Imraan, by his own admission, has not really been able to commit time to the Poppies on a day to day basis. The same people, more or less, who have run the Club during his time here will continue with this task. The real issue will be budget. We all know that Imraan has put an awful lot of money into the Club and one thing is for sure, the 4 years since he came to Rockingham Road have been exciting and, sometimes, strange ones! The Trust will continue to raise money where it can and help out behind the scenes both on and off match days - we hope you continue to support us in our endeavours to do this.
The Trust had its moments with Imraan. He is a very single minded individual hence his success in business and he did like to create a headline or two! But he brought a lot of hope, and with it, success, to the Club in his short time here and the Trust would like to say "thank you" for everything he has done for the Club.
